Count Your Wins, Not Your Losses

November 20, 2018

6 weeks until 2019, scary right?😱

+ trust me, I know. It’s scary because some of us are thinking “dang, I haven’t even reached my goal yet” and there’s so little time to achieve it.

I wrote this for you. I want you to focus on your WINS this year.

Maybe you didn’t lose 25 lbs like you had hoped, but you lost 10 instead. My friend, that’s still a win.

Maybe you never finished writing that book, but you did write the first 3 chapters. My friend, that’s still a win.

Maybe you didn’t save a $1,000 for your emergency fund (Dave Ramsey fan over here 😂), but you muscled up and got $500 put away. That my friend, is...a WIN.

I can jot down a thousand things I did wrong this year and a ton of targets that I’ve missed. But instead I choose to focus on the GREAT successes and blessings I’ve achieved and received over the past 11.5 months. Instead of focusing on my flaws and imperfect postpartum body, I choose to spend all my energy loving my husband and my son daily.

I do believe goals are meant to be achieved, but think about how much momentum and progress you’ve made this year. That is something to praise about. We shouldn’t view our life as a PASS or FAIL mentality. Life is all about perspective. Don’t worry if you’re not 100% to your goal. The fact that you are on the right path tells me you are already WINNING 🙌🏽.

What are some of your wins? Focus on the things that matter. You’ll get there, I know it. ✌🏽
